Their Story 

Erlene was born in Bunbury, Western Australia in 1935 and was raised on a farm in Elgin. She attended Primary School there.

She boarded in Bunbury with her Grandparents Frederick & Mary Vickery while she attended Bunbury Senior Highschool.

When she left high school Erlene was employed by her Godfather Jamesie Turner at his butchers shop in Capel.

It was here that she met her future husband Keith Alex Roberts whom she married in March 1955.

They lived on a dairy and beef farm 10 minutes out of Capel and raised 5 children there.

The farm was sold in 1997 and they moved into Capel to retire.

Erlene died from breast cancer on 28 May 1999.
